The official Historic District of Coronado in Phoenix, AZ., takes up around 1-square mile if you include the homes located around the edge of town. Coronado is generally known for smaller homes with two bedrooms and 1-bath, but occasion exceptions are made. There have been homes as small as 532 square ft. however, the average square foot of these homes is 1,000 sq. ft., and each home has a large backyard area that provides the homeowner their own space for privacy. The Coronado neighborhood has a subdivision called “Ranchitos Bonitos” (which means “Pretty Little Ranches”). It describes the architectural design of the diverse neighborhood that was built in the early 1900’s well into the 1930s.

Coronado was home to the Bungalows in the 1920s and home to the Ranches in the 1940s, including Coronado Park (one of the larger parks of the city of Phoenix. It is also home to highly recognized high school programs and is one of the most competitive in the metro area. Many of the smaller homes just recently went through some remodeling, which included some additions being added on, and these now feature the LUX master suites with kitchens that provide open gourmet, and rooms now have more space.

There are plenty of options when it comes to eating out, and they are within walking distance to the neighborhood. Below are several of the restaurants and grocery stores.

There are too many to mention them all, but here are several of them:
