You have stumbled onto another one of those pricier areas in central Phoenix. This District has “huge custom-built homes.” Each of these homes has a “deep irrigated lot,” and although the proximity of “North Central Corridor” is only a couple of miles to the south of the big city of Phoenix, it still feels like you are “living in a rural area.”

All the neighbors in this huge residential District were not listed as a historic designation; however, they have been here more than fifty years, so they certainly have history here. The main drag is surrounded on both sides by the “Historic Murphy Bridle Path” on Central Avenue, which helps to preserve the rural feeling, and is covered with shades and paths that are layered with gravel, including Olive trees and old-growth Elm.

You can see walkers, baby strollers, and joggers as they appreciate the shaded paths 24 hours of a day, all the way from Bethany Home Road and all the way to Northern Avenue. The residential calm for being downtown is the same with all of the historic districts, where the only difference is in the lush greenness; hue landscapes will not be found in most of the districts in the valley.

To purchase a home in the “North Central District” will cost between $6 M to $6 and a 1/2 M. However, if you travel to the north or east, you can find more modest homes and townhouses available.

At this time, the city of Phoenix has not yet named North Central as a historic district, although it is recognized for being a “Special Planning District,” and this is protecting the character of the District.
